It’s too bad that you went to IBC There are world class Gdolei Talmidei Chachamim in RIETS

There are also many fine Talmidei Chachamim who give shiurim in IBC .The major difference between RIETS and the Charedi yeshivos is that RIETS models Itself after Volozhin where there was no Madhhiach or Mussar Seder and the Charedi yeshivos pattern themselves after Slabodka and its emphasis on a Mzshgiach and Mussar

I don’t think that is the main difference at all. The charedi yeshivas are Torah only, no secular studies and even at a place like Ner Israel college at nights is looked down on. Additionally, charedi yeshivas dress in a very specific uniform, white shirt, dark pants, hat and jacket for Davening. Lat but not least charedi yeshivas are anti Zionist. They view the state of Israel in a n a negative light. RIETS is part of YU and secular studies are mandatory (in college) and are encouraged. There also is no strict uniform. People wear what they want. The RY are generally Zionist in orientation and see the state in a positive light.

The differences between Volozhin and Slabodka should not be disregarded in terms of how shiurim are presented and the role of Musar as opposed to learning how Chazal and Rishonim understand the Kedushas HaYom of the Yamim Noraim That is a major difference

I have no idea what you meant at the end. In terms of the actual shiurim I found no difference between shiurim in RIETS and other charedi yeshivas regarding how to understand the Gemara.

On Charedi yeshivos the Musar shmues and vaad are viewed as keys to growing in Avodas HaShem In RIETS in depth Limud HaTorah in Gemara and Rishonim is viewed as the key to growth in Avodas HaShem

No. Mussar in many charedi yeshivas is a joke. Learning Torah is the main focus. By the way RIETS also has mashgichim
